Quick & Dirty Solar Fountains DIY Techniques
Solar Fountains are easy to make and cost very little money. They are designed with 4 simple parts: a solar panel, low wattage dc pump, a bowl, and a decorative bamboo spout. It is easier to design a solar fountain than it is to design a shishi odoshi fountain.
Here’s how you can design your own solar fountain in 4 easy steps
- Get yourself a solar panel that has a power output of 1 watt. This will produce sufficient power to keep your dc pump running.
- A low voltage dc pump that consumes minimal power should be your choice when it comes to re-circulating the water.
- A nice bamboo spout and some vinyl tubing would make a great choice for creating your own bamboo solar fountain. If you prefer traditional designs, get yourself a lion head fixture.
- Connect all the pieces - Hook up the solar panel to dc pump. Connect one end of vinyl tubing to water pump and pass the rest of the tubing through the bamboo spouts. Pass the tubing through the wall fixture or figurine. Now, all you need to do is adjust the water pump controller (inbuilt in pump) so as to optimize the water-flow. And you are set!
This is how easy it is to set up your own solar water fountain! Solar fountains are very inexpensive and they help us save a lot of electrical energy, so make sure you install a solar fountain today! In future, I’ll be creating a video demonstration of solar fountain design, just like this shishi odoshi video demonstration.
